Who I am

Okay, so I like fine clothes. Style, not fashion. My father was a tailor and designer, so I guess it rubbed off on me. I was raised to be a gentleman, and I remain one to this day. Honor, loyalty, and compassion.

I’ve been writing stories since grade school and have always liked mysteries. I grew up reading the Hardy Boys, if you know who they are. If not, look them up. The “Hardy Boys Detective Handbook” still sits on my bookshelf.

All of this eventually manifested itself in the Lovable Rogue Mysteries. Given my background, it shouldn’t be surprising that I created the world’s most stylish detective. “Style, you either have it or you don’t, and if you have it, you have it all the time.”

I don’t exactly remember when I decided to combine mystery stories with style. However, it most likely happened in a coffee house in San Francisco’s Italian-flavored North Beach District.

It’s been quite a journey from my birthplace in a small Midwestern town to writing mystery stories set in 1980s San Francisco. In case you don’t know, I also wrote and directed an award-winning short film, “Who Would Murder a Tailor?” based on one of the Lovable Rogue stories.
